Huub Dijstelbloem is Senior Researcher and Project Leader at the Dutch Scientific Council for Government Policy in The Hague (WRR) and Lecturer in Philosophy of Science at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). He is one of the initiators of Science in Transition and member of several Advisory Boards including the Dutch Research and Graduate School WTMC and the Institute for Interdisciplinairy Studies IIS. In the past, he worked as Program Coordinator Technology Assessment at the Rathenau Institute and evaluated Science and Technology projects as partner and researcher of Sci-Quest. He studied Philosophy (MA) and Science Dynamics (MSc) at the UvA and in Paris at the Ecole des Mines and finished his PhD at the UvA, Dept. of Philosophy. Next to being a researcher and a policy advisor, he takes part regularly in public debates about science, technology and democracy.
